About the role

Recursive is building safe, recursively self-improving AI to automate knowledge discovery. We’re starting with AI that improves AI, using open-ended algorithms to create systems that keep discovering and building on what they learn. We’re hiring engineers to build the software, infrastructure, and products that make this possible.

This is a broad opening across systems, machine learning, and product engineering. You’ll work directly with researchers and engineers, identify problems, define requirements, make architectural or product decisions, and own delivery. We welcome specialists with depth in one area and generalists who move between them; you don’t need experience in all three. Your projects will reflect your strengths and the team’s needs. What success looks like

You build systems researchers can trust, make model training and inference more effective, or turn emerging capabilities into products people can use. You demonstrate the impact of your work, explain your decisions, and leave reliable code and tools that others can build on.
